Dr. Haque is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with decades of experience in providing comprehensive cancer care. He has been serving the Elkhart community since 2004 and is recognized for his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered treatment.
Dr. Haque earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College. He completed his residency and fellowship training in hematology and oncology in 1999 at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he developed expertise in both malignant and benign hematologic conditions, as well as solid tumor oncology.
He previously served as Chairman of Hematology and Oncology at Elkhart General Hospital, where he played a key role in advancing cancer care services and fostering a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
Dr. Haque has extensive experience in hospice and palliative care and has served as Medical Director for multiple hospice and palliative care organizations across southwestern Michigan and northern Indiana. He currently continues to serve as a Medical Director for a hospice organization, allowing for seamless continuity of care for his patients. This integrated approach ensures that both patients and their families receive comprehensive support focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Dr. Haque is dedicated to guiding patients and their families through complex diagnoses with honesty, clarity, and empathy. He believes in educating patients about their treatment options and working collaboratively to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
He is also an active member of several national and international hematology and oncology organizations, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in cancer care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Haque enjoys spending time with his family and gardening.
